NATIONAL CADET CORPS
The National Cadet Corps has established in India after independence. In 15 july, 1948 the NCC was founded in India as tremendous organization. Since then The NCC cadets in different state of India have been involved in social development and played important role in unity and integrity of the nation. The NCC unit was formed at Morigaon College in the year 1987. Since then, The NCC unit has been conducting systematically, and the unit actively working for the college. The NCC unit has been doing various activities in various times from its beginning year. The activities are tree plantation, clean programme, social awareness programme, blood donation camp etc. In addition to this, health awareness, educational awareness and superstition awareness programs have been conducted by the NCC unit of our college. Moreover, the cadets of NCC unit of Morigaon College has been participating in the Independence day and Republic day parade every year. Discipline and Unity are the motto of NCC. The main principals of the NCC are obey with smile, be punctual, work hard and without fuss; and make no excuses and tell no lies. The motto and the principals abide by our NCC cadets.
Activities from November, 2020 to December, 2023
1. NCC DAY OBSERVED
Date : 25 Nov. 2020.
The NCC day was observed by Morigaon College NCC unit on 25th November 2020 in the college premises. On that occasion a meeting with ex-cadets of the NCC unit was held which was presided over by vice principal of MOrigaon College, Dr. Hemalata Sarma.
2. BLOOD DONATION CAMP
Date : 28 Nov. 2020.;
A blood donation camp was organised by the Morigaon College NCC unit in collaboration with Morigaon College Students Union on 28th November 2020 in the college premises. A health team from Morigaon Civil hospital was present and they collected a total of 20 units of blood from 18 students of Morigaon College. The ADC Sanjib Sharma and circle officer of Morigaon district also donated blood.
3. AWARNESS ON COVID-19 VACCINATION LEAFLET & MASK DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM
Date : 13 To 20 May, 2021.
A series of awarness program has been done at Morigaon town on COVID-19. The programme was held by cooperation of morigaon college student union, NCC unit and NSS unit. The volunteers of the programme has distributed leaflet and mask and announced slogan on awareness of COVID-19. Dr. Lilakanta Borthakur the principal of morigaon college, professor Dr. Hemanta Kumar Nath, and the CTO of NCC has participated in the programme.
4. EASSY COMPETITION

The Morigaon college NCC Unit organized an essay competition amidst the NCC Cadets. The result has been given bellow.
5. AZADI KA AMRIT MOHOTSAV LET US SING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM
Date : 15/08/2021.
The NCC cadets celebrated Azadi ka Amrit Mohottsav on the occasion of 75th years of India's independence. The Cadets sung the National Anthem in the programme. The Cadets also done a cycle rally from Morigaon college to Morigaon city. The principal, teachers and some of college official also joined in the cycle rally programme.
6. FIT INDIA FREEDOM RUN 2.0
Date : 13/09/2021.
The NCC Cadets done a run programme as a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mohottsav. The Cadets run from Morigaon Collge to Morigaon town and again they reached the college by run.
7. SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAAN
Date : 25/10/2021.
This program was organized by the Yuva Kendra, Morigaon district. The Morigaon college NCC unit joined in this program. The NCC cadets follow the instructions of Neheru Yuva Kendra and done cleaning work in different parts of the Morigaon town.
8. RASTRIYA EKTA DIWAS (NATIONAL UNITY DAY) UNITY RUN
Date : 31/10/2021.
On the occasion of Rastriya Ekta Diwas Morigaon College NCC unit and NSS team jointly celebrated Ekta Diwas. Dalim Phukan, reporter of Assam tribune, has participated In this program and explained the significance of the National Unity Day. Principal Dr. Lila kanta Borthakur also took part of this programme as guest. A unity run has been done in the programme.
9. BLOOD DONATION CAMP
Date : 27/11/2021.
Morigaon college NCC unit has been organizing blood donation camp since 2020. In the year 2021, The NCC Unit held the blood donation programme with the cooperation of Morigaon civil hospital. A total of 19 person donates 19 unit blood in this programme. The NCC unit has provided certificate all the blood donators for his/her precious contribution to society.

11. VIJAY DIWAS CELEBRATION
Date : 16/12/2021.
All the cadets celebrated Vijay Diwas. The CTO addressed on the Vijay Diwas and remembered the martyrs. The cadets done the guard of honour to the brave martyrs.
12. CYCLE RALLY
Date : 27/03/2022
The NCC Unit of Morigaon College organized a cycle rally from Morigaon College to Buhagaon area. A total of 35 cadets including the CTO participated in the rally. Rajgaon, Singimari and Buhagaon areas are located very close to Charan Beel. These villages are often flooded and the families living here are very poor. Therefore, the cadets distributed study equipment to students from 10 poor families in Shingmari and Burhagaon areas.
13. PLASTIC CLEAN PROGRAM

NCC cadets of Morigaon College conducted a plastic cleaning program on April 4, 2022. The program was held on the banks of Charan Beel in Basnaghat.The NH-10 at Basnaghat passes along Charan Beel and connects to Jagiroad town.So plastic garbage often accumulates there. So the NCC cadets thought of cleaning the area. A total of 27 cadets participated in the awareness programme. The cadets collected a total of 56 kg of plastic garbage and dumped it in the dustbin in
Morigaon town. (14 garbage bags in total)
14. WORLD EARTH DAY

Celebration World Earth Day. On this special day, NCC cadets went to the banks of Charan Beel and conducted a plastic cleaning campaign.
15. WORLD BICYCLE DAY CELEBRATION

The NCC cadets of Morigaon College conducted a cycle rally with the following slogans - Ride for a cause - Get fit, Get green. Save the planet, ride a bicycle. Live well, stay fit, ride a bicycle. A total of 19 cadets participated in the rally which covered a distance of 8 km.
16. WORLD OCEAN DAY

NCC cadets of Morigaon College celebrated World Ocean Day near Charan Beel. On the occasion of this special day, the cadets undertook a plastic clean-up programme.

18. PUNEET SAGAR ABHUYAN (20 September, 2022)

A cleaning program at the bank of Charan Beel. The goal of the expedition was to “clean the body of water”. A total of 21 cadets participated in the expedition. At the bank of Charan Bell, we collect about 30 kg. of plastic garbage and dropped in the dustbin of Morigaon Municipality Board.
19. WORLD RIVER DAY CELEBRATION
Date : 25/09/2022 World River Day celebration by NCC unit of Morigaon College at the bank of Charan Beel. The cadets collected about 30 kg. plastic waste and dropped municipality board’s dustbin.
20. PUNEET SAGAR ABHUYAN (2 October, 2022)
Date : 02/10/2022
The NCC unit of Morigaon College conducted a cleaning program at the bank of Charan Beel on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Total cadets participating : 23. Total plastic waste collected in the program : 20 kg (approx..). After waste is collected, it is dropped in the municipality board’s dustbin.
21. CLEANLINESS DRIVE, POST CELEBRATION MORIGAON DISTRICT DAY, 2022

Cleanliness drive by Morigaon College NCC Unit, NSS and Global Warming society. The NCC cadets cleaned Gandhi field and Stadium field, where Morigaon district day was celebrated on 14 th and 15 th October.
22. NATIONAL UNITY DAY CELEBRATION

A unity run program held in the occasion of Nation Unity Day. In this program, the students run from the Morigaon college field to Morigaon Stadium field which covered 5 km.. The unity run program was carried out along with NCC and NSS units.
23. BLOOD DONATION CAMP

The NCC Unit of Morigaon College organized a blood donation program for the 3rd time. The blood donation camp was done in collaboration with the blood collection team of Morigaon Civil Hospital. Each blood donor is given appropriate food after donating blood. The blood donors were awarded a certificate for their valuable contribution to the society. The Principal of the College appreciated and thanked everyone for the successful conduct of the programme.
24. REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION
Date : 26/01/2023
The NCC team of Morigaon College won the 1st prize in the college level march-past competition organized by the Morigaon District Administration. As in previous years, colleges, schools and police forces participated in the march-past on Republic Day this year. The prizes were distributed after a cultural program on Republic Day. The District Commissioner encouraged the winning teams by presenting trophies and certificates.
The Morigaon College NCC Team won the first prize in the march-past competition organized by the Morigaon District Administration as a part of Republic Day Parade 2024.
